I accidentally saw a headline somewhere with the phrase facts about napoleon - and I could not pass by. It would seem that there is nothing new to learn about a person whose name everyone knows. But as it turns out, even familiar figures can hide a lot of surprises. I started reading the article, and the first thing that struck me was that Napoleon actively promoted civil reforms, many of which still influence France today. In addition to military victories, he had strategic thinking in civilian life. I was also surprised by how obsessed he was with personal hygiene - not exactly what you would associate with the 19th century. I liked the way the author of the article presents information: with humor, but to the point. These facts about Napoleon made my evening reading truly fascinating. I think everyone should sometimes look into the past to discover something surprising.
